Steaped was born around a table. Two makers met over tea in Santa Fe and recognized something in each other that is difficult to name but easy to feel: a shared devotion to beauty, to objects that carry memory and intention, and to the belief that the rituals we build our days around are never small things. 

A year of making, collecting, and following the pull of obsession led us here: a mercantile devoted to antique teaware, handcrafted tables, and the people who understand that the cup that holds your practice matters as much as what's inside it.

Steaped is for the seasoned practitioner and the curious beginner alike. For anyone devoted to beauty and the life of the senses. For the person who believes that a table, a pot, a single cup can be a threshold into something larger.

Dane was introduced to daily tea ritual after graduating from CU Boulder, where he studied furniture design in Denmark at DIS. His daily tea practice became an anchor and helped him to reframe his relationship with creativity.


As a child, Dane was introduced to woodworking by his father and has always had a desire to create things that are both beautiful and functional. This passion has led to the birth of Steaped, a home for creations that evoke devotion and love for tea. As an artist who lives in rural Northern New Mexico, his work is often inspired by the vast landscape, clouds, and stillness.

Luna’s first teacup was a gift pressed into her hands by a friend from Chongqing when she was eighteen. A precious little gift that eluded her a bit, no matter, it opened the door and loose leaf tea began finding her in that casual courting way.

A handful of years laters, she landed in Santa Fe where within the first week she met Po. He invited her to contemplate tea as vibrational medicine, to feel how it opens the meridians and how plant, mineral, and celestial intelligence transfers through the leaf. Tea, brought her back to sensitivity after years of living at the pace cities require of you, becoming a benevolent energy at the center of her creative practice.
