Choosing your table
A tea table is sized by the gathering: how many hands will reach across it and how much space a conversation needs to breathe? The standard we work from is simple: roughly 18 inches per person — enough room to be present.
Small: 1 Server, 1-2 Guests
For the solitary practice, or the kind of conversation that asks for closeness.
Medium: 1 Server, 3-5 guests
The most versatile form. Wide enough to hold a full spread, intimate enough that no one is far from the pour.
Large: 1 Server, 5-8 Guests
For the longer table, the fuller room. Ceremonies that call for witness. Every seat still feels near the center.
